Assessing Your Stairlift Needs
Upon making contact with us, our friendly staff will visit you in your home to assess your stairlift needs and carry out a staircase survey. We will advise you of any adjustments required to fit your stairlift (e.g. move a heater or cupboard) and which is the best side of your staircase to fit your stairlift. It is rare that a stairlift cannot be fitted to a staircase but some may have safety limitations that mean they are not suitable for your home.
We will also conduct a user assessment to ensure the stairlift chosen is suitable for the person using it. This involves some simple questions and measurements to ensure the user can safely travel up the stairs without the worry of any knees or feet clashing with the wall.
We will then give you no-obligation quote on the best and most cost-effective solution to meet your needs. We can answer any questions you may have at any point – before, during or after your survey and we promise there will be no pushy sales pitch.
All our stairlifts can usually be installed within 3-5 working days of placing the order. A straight stairlift takes around 1.5hrs to fit and a curved around 3-4hrs to fit. Our staff will be with you on the day of install to ensure you are happy and fully understand how to use it. They will only leave when you are happy with everything.
Whilst stairlifts are very simple to use they are mechanical devices and therefore do require annual servicing and maintenance. All our stairlifts come with a years’ warranty and one annual service. Following that we offer an annual service for £75 and are available for breakdowns and repairs 24 hours a day, 365 days a week.
